Norway day 9 pt3

Weather is still holding but grey clouds gathering in the northwest. Coming off the 63 from Geiranger after the encounter with Rudolf and his mates, I turn right onto the 15 and this time take the tunnel back towards Stryn where I fuel up - statoil, so another free coffee as well, and then head around the fiord on the 60 to Loen and the turning for the Kjendalsbreen glacier. The rains catching me up as I go up the river valley and then the shore of a long thin lake called Lovatnet, which is a greeny blue colour.

The last couple of miles are a gravel toll road - honesty box, 30nok and I paid.... honest, I felt like paying but only had a 50nok note.

So over the rickety bridge

And to a car park where it's literally a ten minute or so ramble through rocky terrain and scrubs to the foot of the glacier, which has shrunk back 3/4 of the way to the top of the rock face .

There's a very fast flowing river of meltwater at the foot and numerous waterfalls from underneath the glacier cascading down. Or maybe it's all the bloody rain that's falling now.

By now it's pissing down heavily, so a very wet ride back to Stryn to end the day - good weather except for the last 90 minutes!!!! Hope the hostel has a drying room.
