Lofoten to Trondheim
Long day today, knew it would be. Left Ballstad at 05:00 to get the 08:00 ferry from Lodingen to Bognes. This is the farthest north of the 3 ferries to/from Lofoten and I chose it so that I could drive through the northern part of the island, plus it's the shortest voyage- only an hour, and was 93nok (£11)

Goodbye Lofoten and........

Hello mainland.
It's the E6 all the way and its deserted until about Fauske, then more traffic starts to appear. Nothing comparable to UK roads and I'm able to keep a good speed up and manage to keep to 90kph, campervans permitting.
Cross the Arctic Circle again above Mo i Rana and stop for the obligatory picture.

It's a bit bleak and windy up there
Just coming out of Mosjoens, sat nav lady says 'drive 268 kilometers then enter roundabout'
She was right, no junctions for 268km- straight through, and no diversions or road closures either. I've been stopping every two hours or so for about 20-30mins and making liberal use of my free refill statoil cup. 5 cups of coffe today- that's 100nok worth.
Toilet break at one place, and bogroll must be bloody expensive.

Roll into Trondheim about 21:30 and find my way to the Singsakker Summerhotel

Nice place, but they've got the builders in. The room is 460nok (£53) including breakfast. It's full of student groups and quite lively as they also sell bottles of beer for 35nok each and the fridge is emptying fast!!
