Waiting for bits to come back .....

.......so doing little odd jobs. Gearbox is back together and tonight I'm oiling cables and rebuilding the carbs.
The sharper eyed amongst you will see that the Commando's grandad has come to stay, more on that later.
Old fella lurking to the left - not the one with the silver beard, the one with the silver tank.

Its 9 degC in the garage tonight, so lagging required on top

My 28 year old cable oiler made good with 45p worth of rubber washers.

Oiling cables - got a nice little tool for that I've had from around 1985, problem is that the rubber seal has gone all manky and turned to a liquorice type consistency. Now  I've found a place on the www. that can supply repacement seal kits for £8, but bollocks to that - onto ebay for a bag of 20 rubber washers 22.2mm x 6.1mm x 3mm for £2.99 posted. Three of them will do the trick, all thats needed is a slit in each and we're away - works a treat and seals perfectly plus I've got about 140 years worth of spares!!!

John from Vale Paints rang today and the tank & side panels are finished - pick them up Tuesday.
